PetWave, Helping one pet at a time

Hello All,
Just received one of the best compliments ever! We love to hear feedback, but this particular type is why we built the site!!!!

"OK, just have to tell you that http://petwave.com/ may have saved Molly’s life last night. She was stung by a bee and within about 2 minutes started vomiting all over the yard and had instant diarrhea. We pulled the stinger from her lip which swelled instantly. I looked on the website and just typed in “bee sting” and it said she was most likely in anaphylactic shock and that we should get her to a vet immediately, or she could die… which we did. She had a mid to high reaction after testing her blood and they gave her an injection of Benadryl and a steroid injection. They let us take her home after about an hour of observation. She is fine and dandy today. So we now know that she cannot be stung by a bee - god forbid, more than one bee!"

Mother Tiger and her... Pig Cubs?

In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth. The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve. After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only 'orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops?? Take a look...

New User Feedback

It is our goal to get user feedback, so on Yahoo Answers we asked the community for their opinion about Petwave.com. Here is what we received:

"It looks like a great site. It is very thorough in its descriptions and has a variety of information. They tend to focus a lot on traditional medicine, and since I like more holistic things, that isn't great for me, but it still has very correct and easy to read medical explanations. I also liked how their descriptions on how to fix unwanted behaviours. Their list of breeds is also pretty good."

"It looks helpful and useful. I've personally never used it, but I'm bookmarking it as a favorite for future reference now."

Thanks to these helpful comments it seems like we are on the right track! FYI, we now plan to include some holistic advice in the future.

It's importnant to us what our users think. Check out the site,PetWave.com, we would appreciate your feedback. You can send comments to feedback@petwave.com
